Postby MasterT » 17.04.18, 12:28

I have a WDC WD10PURX-64E5EY0 drive.

It starts in kernel mode and i have the folowing question.

What's the meaning of this line?

SA regions address...................... : spared

Is it normal for kernel mode start or it's something else ?

Thanks.

No.
It means that the SA regions have been changed to look at one head.

This might seem like an easy question, but never have done it before: I have a drive showing only one region address (Head 1 @ 351,232 Region address and 169,164 for region size). Is there any way to know what the other region addresses should be? This is a recovery that went to another location before us, so were having to work with what theyve done. Thanks!

Head0 is usually 0 in ROM Regions. Check module 2b or 20b on donor of same model and fw version to know for sure

Well,
if one of the head sa area is not very good we can use this trick ,Tool is saying that this trick is currently applied to this drive
