How is this any different than owning an Express and SAS card and having them both in the same system?

Hello! The difference is if you have DE RAID Edition on one of these boards, you can also use both boards more effectively with big RAID tasks - if you plug in both boards into one computer. For example, if you need to work with 8 physical drives in one RAID task simultaneously, or if you need to work on PC-3000 Express Data Extractor with SAS drives, connected to PC-3000 SAS
