How can I be safe during ACTIVATION procedure !!!

What if someone sniffing or interrupted connection by MITM Technic, what about the risks or ISP that sell database of subscribers or users activities logs to marketing companies ?

The consequences of this on who will fall ?

The Lic. file you are uploading contains ENCRYPTED INFO. which is something related to your account
Sniffing it by anyone is a waste of time, i actually can give you few of those activation files if you want....

Then the server returns back with an ENCRYPTED ACTIVATION file, which again i can provide you with few of those if u think its useful...

so the question is: If the File you are sending or getting is Encrypted what is the point of the SSL?

right?
