Pinclite with SA problems

Postby pclab » 19.06.18, 12:09

Hi

I have here a WD2500AAJS-75M0A0 that was dropped.
After head swap I could reach SA, but several modules are bad (31, 33, 42...)
Not even by composite reading I can get the full modules, I have them partial.

I have tried to edit/move location but there are a lot of SA bad sectors. Module 42 I could move it, write it and recheck checksum, so that one is OK now.
But 31 I can't. I have tried to move and write partial 33, no go.
Tried to regen 33 from logs (both log modules are also bad) to try to regen 31, no go either....

I'm about to quit here. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Thanks

How Are You PCLAB ,
Try Changing a Head With Different Set Of Heads ,These are older drives you might get better results with micro jog averaging of patient and donor sometimes try that function .

Hi Maxim

That couldn't help. SA was very bad.
I solved the case by doing a hotswap and regen transtalator on donor.

Thanks
