Professional approch for typical F3 issue

Postby Athena » 15.06.16, 05:58

Hi Dmitry , Filipp & all guys

I would like to know how Pro's will recover data from this typical Seagate F3 case ( Smart trip/ Reallocation Failed / BGMS dos Rewrite)
So far I use to do following which I think is not correct ,one senior member has advised not to use M command too often nor to erase defect list directly ( erase from modules)
What steps will be most safe and appropriate ?
Attached are snapshots of Terminal output.
Thank you.

There is so much confusion about right technique.
One said to clear Non resident Glist , clear smart and reg. translator
other says ny clearing non resident Glist hidden defects are also cleared , and this will create more trouble.
what to do ?

Athena, usually we clear Non-resident G-List and Alt-list if we see too much defects inside, then we regenerate the translator.
But it works not in each case? and we need to check the other important system files.
