What are the best ways to remove the ROM chip without damaging it?

With last version of utility you can read ROM from Seagate F3.
This is best way to save ROM.
Utility can read ROM, but can not write, so if you want to swap PCB, you should read ROM from patient, then write ROM by external programmer in other rom chip. And then solder this rom chip to the donor PCB.
Or you can just resolder rom chip from patient to donor PCB, but before you should read ROM just in case.
For soldering you should use soldering station like Lukey 852D or some other.

Igor,

Are there plans to allow writing of ROM in F3 in future version?

igor sir ,
is the f3 architecture so complex that even after so many months you people have not been able to crack it open like the older architecture .The Older internal command set was so much researched on and also experimented upon
