Verbatim SATA III 1TB-Vi550 S3 all leds ON

Hi everyone,
as per subject I have this 1TB Verbatim where after power ON all the status register LEDs are on.
The ctrl is a SM2259XT as you can see from the picture.

It looks like an electronic problem at the PCB.

What do you think? which component could be the culprit?

It could be anything.
Have you measured the voltages on the coils, capacitors?

If they are all there and after shorting the service pins there is still no response from the disk, then the controller is most likely damaged.
