A tad expensive, but you can also find them on aliexpress - enough, or build your own from scrap PCBs. That way PC3K can easily control the power if required and you don't need the extra mess of USB cables in the way.



One more small question. How do you guys solder the COM connection through this board?? Or you guys don't??

I don´t solder COM. Read, unlock and write ROM with external programmer and pogo adapter.

Guys. Sorry. I still need your help guys

So i got the donor. Changed the heads. Unlock ROM vs PC3000, soldered SATA connection. The drives spinning but kept busy without any noise from the heads. I think the heads aren't compatible even though i chose the donor very carefully :oops: :oops: :oops:
I wanted to know the compatibility of these drives. What to look for when buying a donor. And what to look for when changing those heads

What happens when you block access to SA + upload dir and ldr to RAM ?

Sorry. Wrong question. So i blocked access in SA upload dir to RAM. Put the drive in Normal mode however all sectors in Sector Edit reads 00 00

Nevermind. I managed to make it work. The drive have a lot of Disk Dam Errors

Cannot build head map from this. The LBA=0 keeps getting stuck
Cannot map fill
