It is similar, but we need overlays loaded and also we need to take into account changes in dir addresses in 0B/20B. I have emailed you, hopefully the steps I sent will be clear
Re: WD10SPZX-21Z10T0 unable to Block SA and autodetect
I received the unlocked PCB and just swapped the ROM as I could not see module 90 as in your directions.
I can now autodetect. Does this mean the PCB is in fact unlocked?
When trying to use Ace's SED unlock procedure of isolating the heads, the drive spun up for a second but then spun down. It does remain spinning with headstack connected.
I would imagine it should remain spinning like all the others. Does this procedure work with Palmer?
Couple of other notes:
The original FW was 0002000j. With the new PCB the FW changed to 0002000T.
When trying to upload ATA overlay (11), the drive quickly restarts when using either version of firmware.
Cache overlay and transient overlay upload fine.

After swapping rom, took me a while to find a compatible LDR but once I found it, I was able to get full ID and was able to complete this case with a full recovery. Thanks for all your help.
