Samsung M40S Magma 2.5" LED 2A01 error

I am working on a Samsung 2.5" HDD that I believe is in the M40S magma family. It stays busy when it is powered up and has a somewhat buzzing sound, but the drive does spin. When I connect the just the PCB to PC-3000 and run the specialized utility I get a constant message in the terminal "LED 2A01". The log message is:
"Techno mode error: unexpected error: Drive is not ready
Utility initialization was terminate!"
So I know that the LED code 0x2A is "too many pes error" (not sure what that means) but I don't know of one for 0x01, so not sure if this is a unique LED code of the combination of 2. Only idea I have at this point is that maybe the heads are stuck.

When the PCB is connected to the HDD I get "LED 110B" in the terminal. The drive starts to spin, then clicks and then spins down.

So i think now that it might be a fw issue as I found a donor and performed a hot swap and the drive becomes ready (donor PCB is on the source drive) but I am not sure which model in the M40S family to pick in the PC-3000 specialized utility? Just start trying them all?? Model is HM500JJ on the drive. The first one I tried was HM20GIJ but in the specialized utility the modules table just read everything as errors.

After trying all the options of models in the M40S I get the same result for all. On the specialized utility start up on the read ID it returns the following with ERR ABR:

Techno parameter read error; unexpected error: Device error detected
Techno passport not loaded!
